Cash registers stopped working in Russia: Ukrainian hackers attacked the popular 1C accounting system
Ukrainian hackers from the IT Army attacked the Russian EPR system 1C-Rarus, according to the reports of Digits and IT Army of Ukraine on Telegram. EPR systems are responsible for planning enterprise resources.
One of the largest ERP systems in Russia has 150,000 users, including tech giants and war sponsors Tatneft and VTB.
“Clients cannot use accounting services and work at full capacity. Customers in shops and gas stations cannot make payments because the cash registers are not working. This means millions in losses for the Russian economy,” the Ministry of Digital Transformation said in a statement.
Earlier, Ukrainian hackers, who may be related to the SBU, destroyed Rosvodokanal’s IT infrastructure.
