As part of an experiment, Google sent ChatGPT interview questions about coding and concluded that the AI would be able to land a 3rd-level programmer position with a salary of $183,000 per year ($15,250,000 per month). This was reported by PC Mag.
The experiment was conducted as part of Google’s recent testing of several artificial intelligence chatbots it is considering adding to the site. ChatGPT’s ability to provide short and precise answers to questions can save users the time they would normally spend browsing links on Google in search of the same information.
A Google programmer interview is based mainly on technical questions. Facebook, Amazon and other companies also rely on these questions, especially for executive positions.
‘Unbelievably, ChatGPT has been interviewed for a third-level developer position,’ says a Google document.
Level 3 is considered an entry-level position at Google with an average salary of $183,000 per year.
The very fact that ChatGPT can answer programming interview questions raised questions about the platform’s ability to transform not only Google, but the programming profession itself. Is it already happening, or will it happen in five or 20 years?
