ChatGPT has learned to search websites in real time and respond with DALL-E-generated images

OpenAI has officially launched real-time search on Internet sites for ChatGPT. Previously, the most famous AI chatbot was mostly limited to datasets until September 2021.

When users asked him about current events, he answered something like this: “I don’t have the ability to browse the Internet in real time.” However, one of OpenAI’s goals was to expand ChatGPT’s databases to turn it into a smarter analog of a search engine, CNBC reports.

In March, the company experimented with the ChatGPT browser plugin among a limited audience. In May, OpenAI launched the Browse feature in Bing, but in June it froze the feature after some users discovered that it could be used to bypass paid content. The company is slowly rolling out this feature again.

Starting this week, ChatGPT will also be able to generate images using OpenAI’s DALL-E 3, but this feature is currently available only to certain users in beta mode.

From a simple sentence to a detailed paragraph, ask ChatGPT what you want to see and it will turn your ideas into extremely accurate images.

After launching in November last year, ChatGPT became the fastest growing app in history, according to a UBS study, with about 100 million monthly active users in two months. Since then, it has launched a kind of arms race in the field of artificial intelligence, inspiring tech giants to develop new features and applications to make their chatbots stand out from the crowd. The main competitors of ChatGPT (supported by Microsoft) in this race are Google Bard and Claude.ai from Anthropic.
