ChatGPT suspends Bing integration to prevent peer-to-peer traversal

OpenAI disabled the integration of ChatGPT with Bing search engine because people were using the feature to illegally access some pages.

Soon after the integration into OpenAI, we discovered cases when it malfunctioned. For example, if a user specifically asks for the full text of a URL behind a pavilion, the chatbot may “unintentionally” provide it.

In this regard, the company has disabled the Browse with Bing beta function “for reasons of caution”. OpenAI promised to fix the error and return the integration “as soon as possible.”

In most cases, pivots are used to get readers to subscribe to a website. However, users have found that ChatGPT can circumvent the limitation by asking it to print the text from the requested page.
