Day of Military Intelligence of Ukraine: Budanov released an “explosive” VIDEO
September 7 is a kind of birthday for Ukrainian military intelligence. The head of the GRU of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, Kirill Budanov, congratulated his colleagues on the intriguing video.
In the video posted by the GUR on social media, Budanov was shown with a cake with lit candles in front of him. The head of the department silently blew out the candles – and at that moment there was an explosion. “Make a wish,” was the caption at the end of the short video.
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhnyi, Commander of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi and Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Serhiy Nayev joined in the greetings.
Zaluzhnyi noted that most successful intelligence operations are not publicly disclosed.
“Military intelligence officers do not disclose their identities, do not name names. They often walk on a razor’s edge. They act where many people cannot. Clearly, carefully, consistently and painfully for the enemy,” the Commander-in-Chief wrote on Facebook.
Syrskyi also posted a greeting on the Day of Military Intelligence of Ukraine, congratulating his combat brothers and sisters.
“Your courage and intelligence are the basis of many successful operations that bring us closer to victory! Let’s go forward! Glory to Ukraine!” wrote the colonel general.
Nayiv noted that the success of Ukrainian military operations largely depends on how well and quickly we can assess the operational situation and how deeply we understand the occupiers’ strategies.
“Thanks to your experience and ability to obtain information, we can not only deter the enemy, but also effectively liberate the occupied territories,” the Lieutenant General addressed the reconnaissance men.
He paid tribute to the memory of the fallen intelligence officers who, at the cost of their own lives, thwarted the Kremlin’s strategic plans to instantly seize Ukraine.
