Defenders have already liberated 12 settlements of Luhansk region
The fighting continues, the Russians shell the de-occupied territories
The defense forces have already liberated 12 settlements in the Luhansk region. This was announced by the head of OVA, Serhii Gaidai.
The regional head noted that advancement “is not easy and every meter of Luhansk Region is given very hard.” He emphasized that the Russians had time to prepare and bring the mobilized to the region.
“Yes, they are not professional soldiers, poorly armed, trained and equipped. However, it is still a large number of people who are shooting in our direction,” Gaidai explained.
He added that heavy fighting is currently ongoing, while the occupiers are shelling the recently liberated territories.
“The occupiers know perfectly well where they are hitting. Because just a few days ago [they] were kicked out of these villages, and they know how many civilians live there, where they live. With all that, they are firing very seriously. We are trying to organize the evacuation first,” Gaidai commented.
