“e-Cherha” on the border with Europe is launched at 16 checkpoints

It also applies to passenger cars

The electronic border crossing system “e-Cherha” is being expanded by 16 checkpoints in the western direction for all modes of transport. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal at a government meeting.

Starting next week, truck drivers will be able to use “e-Cherha”, bus drivers will be able to use them in July, and car owners will be able to use them in August.

The Cabinet of Ministers is confident that “e-Cherha” will simplify the border crossing procedure for Ukrainians thanks to a simple algorithm of actions, minimum effort on the part of the user, and enormous time savings.

For businesses, the electronic queue will help minimize losses by reducing cargo downtime at the border.

To cross the border using “e-Cherha”, you need to register through the application, receive notifications about your status in the queue, its progress, and the time of arrival at the checkpoint.

Using the electronic queue is free of charge.

Currently, “e-Cherha” is available only for freight transport at the “Yahodyn-Dorogusk” checkpoint on the border between Ukraine and Poland. It was launched at the end of last year.

According to the official website of “e-Cherha”, as of the afternoon of May 2, 2284 vehicles were registered in the electronic queue at the “Yagodyn-Dorogusk” checkpoint. The estimated waiting time is four days and three hours.
