The new idea of an American billionaire is to make Twitter paid for everyone. Previously, it was limited to only $8 for a Twitter Blue subscription, which allows you to get a profile verification mark and offers a few more perks.
The idea of paid access to the social network was discussed between Elon Musk and his advisor David Sacks. Its essence is that users would have free access to Twitter every month for a certain period of time, but in case of exceeding the limit, they would have to pay.

At the same time, Platformer notes that a $8 per month subscription to Twitter Blue will cost the company $6, meaning that earnings will be only $2 per user. In addition, due to the almost 40% price increase, Twitter will lose some of its subscribed users. Now there are approximately 100,000 such people.
