Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and CTO of X (formerly known as Twitter), has been named the most overvalued CEO in the United States for the second year in a row, according to a survey conducted by Fortune among hundreds of U.S. CEOs.
According to NV.ua, the survey involved executives from various companies who were asked to express their opinion on which of their colleagues they consider the most overrated and the most underrated. Musk topped the list of the most overvalued with 399 votes, followed by Disney CEO Robert “Bob” Iger with 302 votes.
Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft, was recognized as the most underrated CEO, receiving 274 votes. This is the eighth year in a row that it has held this title.
Business Insider reminds that Musk, known for his activities at the helm of several companies, from Tesla electric vehicles to SpaceX space flights, is considered a revolutionary in the field of electric vehicles and commercial spaceflight. However, he is often criticized for being overly ambitious, such as his promise to send a crew to Mars by 2024, which has not yet been realized.
