Estonia launches large-scale military exercises “Spring Storm” with participation of international troops and local population

Estonia has launched large-scale military exercises called Spring Storm, which will last until May 17. Approximately 14,000 military personnel from 15 countries, as well as the local population of Estonia, will take part in the exercise. This is reported by the local edition of the Estonian Defense Forces, citing statements by the military leadership.

The exercises will be held in the western part of the country, including the islands. They are divided into three main stages: formation of units and international cooperation from May 6 to 12, and active military operations from May 13 to 17. The main forces involved include the Second Infantry Brigade and the Western Land Defense District of Estonia, with military aviation, fighters, helicopters and UAVs actively engaged.

“Spring Storm will focus on preparations to repel potential threats and increase cooperation between military units and NATO allies. The exercise traditionally involves military personnel from Estonia, the United States, the United Kingdom, Latvia, Poland, Italy, France, and Denmark, emphasizing the international nature of this defense initiative.
