EU imposes sanctions against Iran

The restrictions come into force from today

The European Union is introducing sanctions against Iranian organizations that supply Russian drones.

The representative office of the Czech Republic in the EU reports this.

It is noted that the decision on the restrictions was made in record time – EU ambassadors reached an agreement in 3 days. The written procedure has already been completed. The sanctions will enter into force on October 20, after publication in the official journal.

Earlier, the European Union agreed to sanctions against Iran for the supply of drones to Russia. The Shahed company, which produces drones of the same name, may be subject to sanctions.
