European Parliament urges Zelensky not to sign “urban planning reform”

This is stated in the resolution on Ukraine's reconstruction and accession to NATO.

On June 15, the European Parliament adopts a resolution on Ukraine’s reconstruction and accession to NATO. At the same time, one of the paragraphs calls for not signing the draft law 5655, according to the Chesno movement.

Thus, paragraph 17 reads: “We call on President Zelensky not to signthe draft law No. 5655 on urbandevelopment.”

The Ministry of Infrastructure assures that the reform is being implemented to digitalize processes, fight corruption, and eliminate the human factor.

However, the architectural community is almost unanimous in arguing that the project narrows their rights to their own works and gives developers more tools to change projects at will. The petition demanding to veto the project received more than 42 thousand votes out of the 25 thousand required.

We would also like to remind you that after devastatingly criticizing the so-called “urban planning reform,” Olena Shulyak, head of the Servant of the People party, came to the hospital to settle the relationship with the wounded soldier.

It should also be noted that this anti-democratic law is still in the Office of the President of Ukraine and is awaiting signature. So far, Zelensky has not spoken out against the law in any way. And this silence looks like the authorities are just waiting for the scandal to die down and sign this law.

The text of the Law is available on the website of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine at the link.
