Explosion on the Baikal-Amur highway in Russia: it was an SBU operation, – media

On the night of Thursday, November 30, an explosion occurred on the Baikal-Amur highway in Buryatia, Russia: Media report successful SBU operation

This was reported by Suspilne, Ukrinform and RBC-Ukraine, citing their own sources in law enforcement.

It is stated that the explosion occurred on a section of the highway in the Northern tunnel named after M. Kuznetsov. Bessolova. Despite the absence of official comments from the Security Service, media sources report that the bombing of the highway was a successful operation by the SBU.

It is stated that 4 explosive devices were detonated when a freight train was moving along the railroad. The FSB is working at the scene, and railroad workers are trying to minimize the consequences of the explosion.

“In fact, this is the only serious railroad connection between Russia and China. And now this route, which Russia uses, among other things, for military supplies, is paralyzed,” the sources said.

The Russian telegram channel SHOT reports that a fuel tanker caught fire while a 50-car freight train was moving: the train contained 44 tanks with fuel, including aviation fuel, and 6 with ferrous metal.

According to preliminary data, two of the tanks had holes in them. One of the versions the investigation is considering is sabotage.

On November 11, an explosion occurred on the railway in the Ryazan region of Russia, causing a freight train with 19 cars to derail. The Russians claimed “interference by unauthorized persons,” while the Ukrainian media reported a special operation by the GUR.
