Explosions in Crimea in the morning, Russians say drone attacks: where cotton has come to stay
At dawn on Wednesday, October 18, explosions occurred in the occupied Crimea. It was noisy, in particular, in Bakhchisaray district, Sevastopol and Yevpatoriya. The Russian Defense Ministry says it was a drone attack.
This was reported by local Telegram channels. It is noted that the sounds of explosions were heard by local residents, some of whom woke up because of them.
An explosion also occurred in the village of Zaozerne near Yevpatoriya. Residents of the village of Romashkino, Saki district, did not sleep either. According to locals, a Russian air defense complex is based there.
The Russian Defense Ministry has already responded to the nighttime “cotton”. The occupiers claim that the air defense allegedly shot down 28 drones over the Black Sea, as well as over the Belgorod and Kursk regions. At the same time, locals are more inclined to fly in.
Previous attacks on Crimea
Loud explosions were heard in Crimea on October 7. At the time, “cotton” was reported in Krasnoperekopsk, Dzhankoy and Chornomorsk districts.
Before that, on October 6, explosions occurred twice in Sevastopol in the evening. Traffic on the Crimean bridge was blocked. Part of Crimea was also left without power: electricity supply was cut off in Koreiz, Gaspra and Livadia.
