Failed crash tests: American experts have compiled an anti-rating of cars for 2023

The American Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) annually presents video reports on car crash tests to the public on its YouTube channel. And the test results are not always positive. Last year, the institute ranked the five worst cars based on crash test results.

The first place went to the Rivian R1S SUV, which was a disappointment due to its poor scores in frontal collisions. The second place was taken by the Toyota Camry business sedan, which received the same low score for frontal collision as the Rivian. Ford Maverick is in third place, having failed the frontal crash test and side impact.

The fourth place in the ranking was taken by the Volvo XC60 crossover, which exploded the myth that Volvo cars are the safest. The car received only satisfactory ratings due to poor results in a side collision.

The Toyota Grand Highlander family crossover rounds out the top five, which, despite its claimed high level of safety, did not perform well in a head-on collision with a ceiling.
