For the first time since the Russian invasion: radiation detectors have started operating at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant
Radiation detectors resumed operation in the area of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant for the first time since the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.
“Most of the 39 detectors that send data from the exclusion zone are now visible on the IRMIS map (International Radiation Monitoring Information System – ed.)”, – said in a statement the International Atomic Energy Agency.
According to the measurements obtained, the radiation levels correspond to those that existed before the Russian invasion.
It will be recalled that on April 1, the Russian occupiers left the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. The racists stole $135 million worth of equipment.
