For the first time, the Luhansk People’s Republic has named the losses of Russian troops in the Belgorod and Kursk regions
The Legion “Freedom of Russia” published the losses of Russian troops as of the morning of March 18 as a result of a limited military operation in the Belgorod and Kursk regions.
The LSR noted that during the few days of a limited military operation in the Belgorod and Kursk regions, Russian troops “suffered huge losses in manpower and equipment.”
Kremlin soldiers are demoralized by the mass deaths of their fellow soldiers, who became senseless victims of Putin’s sick ambitions.
As of the morning of March 18, the losses of Putin’s army in the Belgorod and Kursk regions amounted to:
Personnel:
- Irrecoverable losses: 613 servicemen

Also, according to the LSR, places of concentration of personnel, ammunition depots, dugouts, towers with antenna complexes, fortifications, video surveillance cameras, a cellular communication station, a bridge in the village of Gorky, etc. were destroyed or damaged.
The LSR believes that Putin’s image as a figure who can allegedly keep the situation in the country under control has suffered the most damage.
Putin brought the war to Russia. Russian cities are burning, Putin’s war machine has been reduced to ashes, and the Kremlin’s artillery is wiping out one Russian village after another. And most importantly, Putin devours the lives of people-soldiers and civilians-solely in the name of preserving his personal power.
Limited military operation in Belgorod and Kursk regions
On March 12, volunteer Russian battalions of the Russian Volunteer Corps, the Freedom of Russia Legion, and the Siberian Battalion broke through the border in Belgorod and Kursk regions and took control of several settlements.
Russian volunteers announced strikes on Russian military positions in Belgorod and Kursk, and residents of Belgorod and Kursk regions were urged to evacuate.
A representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Andriy Yusov, said that Russian volunteers in the territory of the Russian Federation act as “independent structures and organizations” consisting of Russian citizens and, accordingly, “are at home.”
