FPV drone destroys Russia’s newest MRAP AMN-59051 with improved protection
The AMN-59051 is Russia’s newest MRAP, or wheeled armored vehicle with enhanced mine protection. Recently, the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed such an armored vehicle.
The 63rd Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed AMN-59051 in Luhansk region using an FPV drone. Before that, only two cases of liquidation of such armored vehicles were documented.

It should also be noted that the Ukrainian Defense Forces managed to capture at least one MRAP last year. A photo of the trophy AMN-59051 was published in early October. The armored vehicle was seized in the Kherson region.

AMN-59051 was presented at the Army-2022 forum. It is a modernized version of the VPK-59095S armored vehicle that debuted in 2020. The new model received enhanced protection and a turret with a 12.7 mm machine gun.
The MRAP is designed to carry up to nine people. The gross weight of the armored vehicle is over 14,000 kg. The powerplant is a 312 horsepower diesel engine. The AMN-59051 has a range of 1000 km and is capable of reaching speeds of over 100 km/h.
