British heavyweight boxer Tyson Fury has revealed how many weeks he will be preparing for a fight with Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk, the British newspaper Daily Express reports.

The boxer said that the minimum time for preparation is enough for him: “I’m not going to do it again:

“I don’t even work out in the gym. I don’t start training this early. Are you talking to a professional athlete? Oh, come on. I prepare for my fights for four to five weeks.”

Earlier, Ukrainian former WBC world champion Viktor Postol gave his prediction for the Usyk-Fury fight, noting that Usyk looks like a favorite:

“I am really looking forward to this fight because it will be very interesting. Oleksandr has 3 belts, Fury has one, and the fight will be for the absolute title. I’m looking forward to it. I think, no, I don’t think, I’m sure Usyk will win. I watched Fury’s fight against Ngannou, it was very hard, but I don’t think he did it on purpose, he must have been poorly prepared. Of course, he will prepare well for the fight with Usyk. But I still believe that Alexander is a head above, better and the victory will be his,” Postol said.

As a reminder, the fight for the title of absolute world heavyweight boxing champion between the British Tyson Fury and Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk will take place on February 17, 2024. The match will take place in Saudi Arabia.
