Germany supplies Ukraine with missiles for Patriot air defense system for the first time
For the first time, Germany has handed over missiles for the American Patriot anti-aircraft missile system to Ukraine.
This follows from the updated list of military supplies on the German government’s website. It is not specified how many units have been shipped.
In addition, Germany supplied Ukraine with ten sensors for drones, 40 RQ-35 Heidrun reconnaissance drones, 16 Zetros trucks, and 22 million rounds of ammunition in a week.
In June, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said that Germany would send Ukraine a batch of 64 missiles for the 3PK Patriot, and noted that the supplies were necessary to ensure “sustained support.”
As reported, the Russian occupiers complain about the lack of ammunition at the front. Many Russian soldiers are waiting for their furloughs so that they don’t have to return to the war.
It should be noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin will go to the talks and withdraw his troops from Ukraine.
As a reminder, about 300 hectares of steppe in the unique Askania Nova biosphere reserve in Kherson region burned down due to the actions of the Russian occupiers.
