The German Ministry of Defense has handed over to Ukraine the first batch of ammunition for the Gepard air defense system, which has just been manufactured on the production line.
This is stated on the website of the German Ministry of Defense.
It is specified that the specialists managed to complete the construction of the production line in an “ambitious time frame”, which allowed for the delivery of the first ammunition.
“The war in Ukraine reminds us almost every day that the defense of our country depends on air defense and sufficient ammunition. I am glad that we have launched the production so quickly and without bureaucratic obstacles,” emphasized Defense Minister Borys Pistorius.
