Google invests $10 million to train students in cybersecurity in the EU and Ukraine
Google has announced that it will allocate $10 million to launch a program of cybersecurity seminars for European students, including those in Ukraine. The project will be implemented in partnership with the European Cyber Conflict Research Incubator (ECCRI).
The aim of the initiative is to overcome the shortage of cybersecurity professionals in Europe, which is estimated at more than 500 thousand. people. The program will also help to strengthen the protection of public organizations from cyber threats.
The seminars are scheduled to take place in eight universities in eight European countries, including Ukraine. Each of the universities will receive up to $1 million to implement the curriculum developed by ECCRI.
Over 1.6 thousand people will take part in the program in two years. students. Each of them is expected to put into practice the skills they have learned in the classroom, namely to support at least two civil society organizations to improve their cybersecurity.
