Hidden features found in iPhone calculator
Apple developers are actively working on expanding the functionality of iOS. With the release of new updates, the capabilities of the software platform are expanding. As practice shows, many users have no idea about even the basic features of iOS. An example is the Calculator app.
The applet interface does not have an “Erase” button. In case of incorrect entry of numbers, users have to clear the entire field and then enter the numbers again. In fact, the Calculator app has a function to erase incorrectly entered digits. To erase a digit, just swipe it in any direction.
To insert numbers from the clipboard, press the calculation field with your finger. This will bring up an additional menu. To copy the last result without logging into the mobile applet, just hold your finger on the Calculator icon for one second.
To switch the calculator to engineering mode, you need to turn your mobile device to a horizontal position. You can use Spotlight to perform simple calculations, convert values and currencies. To do this, swipe down on the desktop and then enter the corresponding query in the search box. In addition, you can ask Siri to perform the necessary calculations or conversions.
The Calculator app also has a dictation function for calculations. To activate it, you need to do the following:
- Enter the “Accessibility” section.
- Select “Oral content”.
- Activate the “Speak favorites” option.
When working with the calculator, hold down the desired number and then select “Speak” in the menu that appears.
