Homemade quadcopter with cameras crashes on the territory of a Russian air defense plant

The unmanned aerial vehicle was conducting reconnaissance over the Russian plant Fakel. The drone went down on the territory of the plant, probably because of a communication jammer.

The Fakel plant is located a couple of kilometers from Moscow, if we are talking about the city border, not the center of the capital. The company manufactures S-400, S-300, Tor-M2, and Wasp anti-aircraft missile systems.

According to a security guard at the plant, the quadcopter was made by craftsmen. It was equipped with several cameras. Law enforcement agencies are already searching for the drone’s creator.

The guard said that the drone measured approximately 30 x 30 cm. Given its compact size, it can be assumed that the quadcopter was launched from the surrounding area.
