How Kraken soldiers are already using the AGEMA robot from Ukrainian Armor at the front
Kraken, a special unit of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, received an AGEMA robotic platform from Ukrainian Armor Company free of charge to perform combat missions.
It is expected that the military will then give feedback on how AGEMA has performed in combat conditions and how this system should be optimized to make it as effective as possible, the press service of Ukrainian Armor reports.
In its statement, the company quotes a Kraken fighter with the call sign “Lom” who said that this platform already minimizes risks on the battlefield, and is used to deliver ammunition or evacuate the wounded.
At the same time, the head of Ukrainian Armor Vladyslav Belbas says that back in 2021, an agreement was reached with Milanion from the United Arab Emirates on the joint production of the AGEMA robotic system. But the start of the full-scale invasion of Russia interrupted these plans.
Ukrainian Armor also hopes that the information received about its use in combat conditions will allow it to quickly finalize AGEMA and establish production and deliveries to the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
Defense Express adds that Ukrainian Armor has previously reported in an interview that it had transferred the AGEMA platform for testing in real combat conditions in order to finalize the system for delivery to the Ukrainian Defense Forces. However, the specifics of the unit were not disclosed.
This platform can carry up to 622 kilograms of payload, which allows for the installation of various weapons. However, it is necessary to work on this option in a substantive way, taking into account, first of all, the wishes of our defenders.
