Hvardiyske in Crimea successfully attacked (video)

What was used and why it is a really "tasty target"

This airbase has been used by racists before, but probably for the first time so effectively

In the occupied Crimea, the traditional “cotton” is already in place, this time the strike was on the area near the village of Gvardeyskoye, in the central part of the peninsula.

A video from the scene has already been posted online by the racists themselves, which shows the result of the first hit in the form of a cloud from the explosion, as well as the arrival of the second “guest.”

Judging by the sound of the object’s flight, it is most likely a cruise missile flying at a fairly low altitude. Moreover, a second detonation is heard immediately after the missile explodes. Of course, it is extremely difficult to make accurate assumptions based on this, but so far, Storm Shadow meets all the conditions. But what is interesting is that the video does not show the operation of Russian air defense systems at all.

Naturally, the target for this tool was chosen as interesting as possible, because it is the area of Hvardiyske, where the air base is located, where the 37th Mixed Air Regiment of the Russian Aerospace Forces is stationed with Su-24 and Su-25 aircraft. At the same time, Russia can now keep much larger forces at this airfield. At the same time, this airbase is being actively “hit” from time to time, and the first strike was launched in August last year.

But most likely, this particular strike can be most effective, precisely because of the use of advanced means. And the silence of Russian officials, as of the time of publication, who did not even report something like intercepted by electronic warfare, may indicate extremely interesting consequences of the strikes.

At the same time, not only the air base could have been the target of the attack. In particular, ammunition storage bases could have been set up near the airport, as well as the Ostryakove railway junction, oil depot, and other hypothetical targets.

But most likely, we are talking about facilities at the airfield, especially since due to the lack of protected parking, the Russian military often keeps aircraft in the open air.
