In Rome, a giraffe and an elephant escape from the set (video)
The animals were chased by studio workers and, judging by their costumes, actors. The elephant and giraffe have already been compared online to the characters of the Madagascar cartoon.
A curious incident could be observed by locals and tourists in Rome, who were passed by an elephant and a giraffe in broad daylight, writes 9gag. A video of the fugitives being chased by several people was posted online and has already become popular.
It turned out that the animals had escaped from one of the filming locations of the Cinecittà complex in Rome. The film crew and actors set off in pursuit of the animals.
“Is this a sequel to Madagascar?” joke online users. “Madagascar is a 2005 American feature-length animated film produced by DreamWorks Animation, directed by Eric Darnell and Tom McGrath from an original story written by screenwriter Mark Burton. The film was ranked sixth in the world’s top grossing films of 2005. The success encouraged its creators to continue, and today the franchise has three Madagascar films and one Penguins of Madagascar cartoon.
There were even more references to the animated series in the comments under the video.
“Melman and Gloria on the Road to Freedom”, “Why don’t I see any penguins?” users joke.
However, not everyone found the recording a cause for laughter. Some of them expressed their concern about the welfare of the animals under the video.
“Poor animals. Does ENPA (Italian National Council for the Protection of Animals – ed.) no longer exist?” wrote one reader.
It is not specified when the recording was made, nor is there any information on which program or movie the animals were involved in.
