“Incredible feat”: Ukrainian drone jeweled two tanks of the Russian Armed Forces (video)

First, the drone threw a grenade directly under a Russian combat vehicle and disabled it, and then attacked another tank that had arrived for evacuation.

Aerial reconnaissance men of the 30th Separate Mechanized Brigade used an unmanned aerial vehicle with an ammunition drop system to damage two Russian tanks in the vicinity of Bakhmut. The video was published on the Telegram channel of the aerial reconnaissance men AEROBOMBER_UA.

According to Forbes, a quadcopter launched by an operator and armed with grenades “spotted” a Russian tank that was trying to attack Ukrainian positions north of Bakhmut. The armored vehicle drove up to the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and fired twice from a 125-millimeter cannon. After that, the crew turned the tank around and the combat vehicle accelerated, trying to get to a safe place, but the UAV operator launched a drone armed with grenades after the tank. The drone overtook the tank and dropped a munition in front of it on the road.

The tank had no time to veer off course or slow down: a grenade exploded under it, and it went up in smoke. It is unclear what damage the grenade caused, perhaps it hit the engine or the fuel tank, but the car drove a few meters and stopped.

“This is one of the most incredible feats I’ve ever seen a drone pilot perform,” commented OSINT analyst Andrew Perpetua on social network X.

A second tank rushed to its aid, the Russian military secured the cable and tried to tow the damaged armored vehicles to their positions. The evacuation was prevented by a Ukrainian drone that dropped a grenade on the tank’s turret, where the gunner’s and commander’s hatches were open. The grenade that exploded hit the sights and did not cause significant damage to the occupiers, but it scared them, possibly contused them. After that, the moving tank managed to move the injured “comrade” and tow it away.

Both tanks can most likely be repaired, but they will be out of commission for several days, weeks, or months, Forbes notes, so the Ukrainian Armed Forces drone operator did a good job. But the Russians hesitated and risked their lives, because in order to survive, the tank crew must move quickly and return to their positions before drones or artillery target them.

In October, we wrote that a tank of the Russian Armed Forces fell victim to a drone in eastern Ukraine. Supposedly, the Ukrainian military destroyed enemy equipment in the Melitopol sector, where a week ago four tanks of the Russian Armed Forces were destroyed in one day.
