Innovations in logistics: Nova Poshta considers using AI to allow customers to create waybills by voice

Nova Poshta, the largest private delivery service in Ukraine, is exploring the possibility of creating invoices using voice and artificial intelligence technologies.

“We were thinking about a technology that would help the client create a waybill by voice. But we haven’t found the right solution yet, although we have conducted many tests with this feature and so far it takes longer to create a waybill by voice than in a mobile application or in a branch,” the company said.

Another area of artificial intelligence that NP is considering is making it easier for employees to obtain internal information.

“We want to make it easier for them to use the company’s knowledge base, document flow, and access to any information that is available within the NP,” said NP.

To test various artificial intelligence capabilities, Nova Poshta held an open innovation hackathon. It brought together 18 development teams looking for AI-based solutions to improve customer service. As a result of the hackathon, five Ukrainian teams were selected, with whom the company began cooperation in this area.
