International partners will help restore the Internet in Ukraine
As a result of large-scale hostilities, the Russian occupiers damaged the network of Ukrainian telecommunications operators. People in many settlements have been left without access to the Internet, – said the Ministry of Digital of Ukraine in its Telegram channel.
Operators continue to provide services in regions where possible and restore Internet access for Ukrainians. To help provide all the settlements with the Internet faster, we are launching the project “Keep Ukraine in touch”.
International partners will help operators purchase the necessary equipment to reconnect in Ukraine. The first equipment will start arriving in Ukraine in mid-April. This is a full volunteer initiative of volunteers who make every effort to maintain the access of Ukrainians to important information.
The project is implemented by the Global NOG Alliance with the participation and support of the Ministry of Finance, industry associations of the Association of Rights Owners and Content Providers, the Internet Association of Ukraine and DEPS.
