iPhone users complain of poor Wi-Fi performance after iOS 17 release
Users complain about poor Wi-Fi performance after the release of iOS 17. This is especially true for the iPhone 15.
Owners of Apple smartphones complain that Wi-Fi is very slow to download content, or does not work at all. For example, an iPhone simply won’t load Threads, TikTok, or even Safari. Sometimes the problem disappears in a few minutes, and in some cases you need to reconnect to Wi-Fi to make it work.
Having WiFi connection issues on my iPhone 15 Pro (at least on my home WiFi). Takes forever to connect and once it’s connected, pages load very slowly if at all. Then randomly it works for a bit. Then it doesn’t work anymore. Anyone else run into this?

Also, iPhone 15 Pro owners write on social media that their smartphones periodically disconnect from Wi-Fi, while other gadgets work fine. But even if you reconnect, the Internet can be slow.
On the Reddit forum, one user said that he solved the problem by setting the Wi-Fi band to 20 MHz, 40 MHz, or 80 MHz.
It is currently difficult to say for sure whether this is a widespread phenomenon or a small number of users. So far, Apple has not commented on the situation.
- As a reminder, the official sale of new iPhones in Ukraine started on September 29. The new products had entered the country before, but did not go beyond the border.
- Buyers of the iPhone 15 also complained about discoloration of the smartphone, the appearance of a “black screen of death,” poor speaker performance, scratches, and dust in the camera.
