Ironclad unmanned robot from Ukrainian developers starts performing combat missions at the front

Ukrainian defenders have begun using the Ironclad unmanned robot on the front line. The robot has a turret, a thermal imaging camera, an armored carapace, and can accelerate up to 20 km.

Ironclad is a robotic platform that helps the Ukrainian Defense Forces perform combat missions, such as assaulting enemy positions, conducting reconnaissance, and providing fire support. The vehicle can reach speeds of up to 20 kilometers and is equipped with a thermal imaging camera and a Sabre combat turret. It also has an armored shell that protects it from small arms. The Ironclad robot is controlled remotely by an operator.

This version of the robot has powerful wheels, a rounded body, a combat module and a place for cargo. The head of the Ministry of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov, considers the product of Ukrainian engineers from Roboneers to be revolutionary, as it radically changes the way warfare is conducted and helps save the lives of soldiers.

The developers said that Ironclad was created specifically to perform tasks in extreme climatic conditions. The system was equipped with a remotely controlled Sabre combat module with a universal base for mounting machine guns of various types. The complex itself can operate as a separate unit and integrate with various intelligence systems, unmanned systems and equipment.

“It can perform both logistics and combat missions by installing a combat module. It is controlled remotely by the operator,” the developers emphasized.
