Israel allowed the US to transfer Shahed-136 anti-UAV equipment to the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The Pentagon began supplying the Armed Forces with equipment designed to intercept Iranian drones. Ukrainian Ambassador Yevhen Korniychuk, who works in Israel, announced this during a telethon speech.

The diplomat noted that the Shahed-136 is a copy of the American kamikaze drone shot down by the IRGC fighters in Syria. Surprisingly, Iranian engineers managed to copy the American ammunition quite accurately. Anti-drone systems are being developed by Israeli specialists together with colleagues from the USA. The Americans have already started supplying the Armed Forces with equipment to destroy the Shahed-136 with the consent of Israel.

The need to obtain it is explained by the fact that anti-drone systems use developments patented by Israeli companies. Ukrainian diplomats managed to convince them to transfer their technologies to the Armed Forces. Korniychuk called the delivery of anti-drone systems the biggest shift in Israel’s policy, which previously refused to provide Ukraine with any weapons in order not to spoil relations with the Kremlin.
