Legion-X technology allows UAVs to be used in tandem with other equipment (video)
Elbit Systems engineers have developed a new network technology. According to Breaking Defense, the Legion-X technology allows different types of drones to be combined into one team.
The Israeli defense giant demonstrated the principle of Legion-X operation using Thor drones and Rook ground drones. During the demonstration, Thor drones dropped small sensors on the ground in the form of stones designed to record seismic activity. They are able to track the movement of personnel and vehicles.
Ground drones worked in tandem with Thor. One of them launched his own UAV on a cable. A robot with a combat module attacked an aircraft. The coordinated work of drones and robots was ensured by Legion-X technology. According to the developers, before the presentation, they finalized it based on the experience of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
