Long-range attacks by Ukrainian drones are becoming more concentrated (video)

What does the strike on the racist base in Novoozerne mean?

Long-range kamikaze drones, or rather missile aircraft, do not have outstanding characteristics for breaking through air defenses, except that they can simply overload the enemy’s SAM channels with their numbers.

On the night of August 12, the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked the 943rd mobilization deployment center of the Russian army (974th MDC), which is located in the still occupied Crimea near the village of Novoozerne.

Videos of the enemy’s air defense systems were filmed by local residents, showing the launch of anti-aircraft missiles.

The Russian Ministry of Defense also reported, in its traditional manner, that a total of 20 drones were used in the attack, of which 14 were shot down and another six were “suppressed by electronic warfare.” Of course, as the racists declare, there were no casualties or destruction.

At the same time, the phrase “suppressed by means of electronic warfare” in the Russian Federation refers to the so-called “novoyaz”, from the “claps” series. This is how Ukrainian drones have characterized the destruction of ground targets since theRublevka strike, as well as all the damage to government buildings in the Russian capital itself in theMoscow City area.

However, if we take into account that 20 kamikaze drones were actually used in the attack, we can conclude that the strikes themselves are becoming concentrated. And this is indeed one of the few factors that makes the use of aircraft munitions effective.

The fact is that such weapons do not have unique characteristics that guarantee overcoming air defense, but they are cheap and mass-produced. And this factor makes it possible to use a significant number of drones, the so-called “swarm” to strike one object. Because each SAM has a limitation in the form of channelization – the number of targets it can simultaneously fire at. And overloading enemy air defense systems and allowing them to hit designated targets.
