Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko meets with Chinese leader Xi Jinping.
This was reported by the Telegram channel Pool of the First, which is close to Lukashenko’s administration, and the Xinhua news agency.
The dictator of Russia’s ally arrived in China on December 3, but only now, at the Diaoyutai residence, did he meet with Xi.
The topics of discussion are expected to be “trade, economy, investment and international cooperation.” The program of Lukashenko’s visit to China also includes “a number of social and humanitarian events,” Xinhua said.
Since September 2022, China and Belarus have had an “all-weather and comprehensive strategic partnership” that the countries agreed to at the SCO summit in Samarkand. Lukashenko was absent from the One Belt, One Road forum held in Beijing in October 2023. There are no official explanations for this.
Last time, Lukashenko visited China on February 28-March 2, 2023.
