Lviv engineer invented a power bank that can even launch a tank
Oleksiy Vyshnevsky shared details about the powerful portable power supply he created for use at the front. “The brainchild of the Lviv engineer can easily charge Starlink, batteries, drones, radios, and any other gadgets.
The idea for the project came about after Vyshnevsky received a request from a friend who was fighting against the Russians and faced problems with power supply for his devices during combat missions. A friend of the Lviv resident complained about the inconvenience of carrying large batteries.
A week after receiving the request, Vyshnevsky assembled a prototype from materials purchased from shopping centers and online stores. The novelty is an “iron suitcase” with a capacity of 2.8 kW, which is able to meet the needs of the military.
The device cost UAH 16,000 to produce. According to Vyshnevsky, there are no analogs on the market with such a capacity, and foreign devices cost between UAH 70,000 and 100,000.
For ease of use, the power bank is equipped with an interface with a 220V socket, USB output, and a charger. This allows the military to use it without having to understand complex instructions.
To protect the device from moisture, the engineer made it componentized. There are three separate parts inside the suitcase: a battery, a charger, and an inverter.
Powerbank can charge more than 200 phones and even run a tank. It takes about a day to fully charge the power supply, but the use of imported components can reduce this time.
