Mark Zuckerberg is building a $100 million bunker for himself.
Mark Zuckerberg is building a $100 million Hawaiian ranch with an extensive underground bunker and a network of tree houses.
This was reported by The Telegraph.
The estate of the owner of Koolau Ranch is located on a 1400-acre plot on the island of Kauai in Hawaii, USA.
Along with the 30 bedrooms and 30 bathrooms, the ranch will also have 11 treehouses in the nearby wooded area, which will be connected by a series of rope bridges, meaning guests won’t have to climb down to move between them.
The complex will include two mansions with an area of 56 thousand square meters sq. m. with elevators, offices, conference rooms and an industrial-sized kitchen.
They will be connected by an underground tunnel that connects to a bunker with an area of 4 thousand tons. sq. m. with a living quarters, a mechanical room and an emergency hatch that can be accessed by a ladder. It will reportedly also include a living space, a mechanical room, and apparently “blast-resistant” concrete and steel doors.
The doors in the secure room will have keypad locks and soundproofing, while the library will have a blind door that blends in with the rest of the room.
The estate will reportedly include an 18-meter by 6-meter water tank along with a pumping system with food grown on site.
There are also plans for one building with a gym, swimming pools, sauna, hot tub, cold pool and tennis court.
The total cost of the complex together with the land will be $270 million.
