McDonald’s, IKEA, Apple, Volkswagen: Russia is thinking about nationalizing companies that have left the market

The idea of nationalizing the production facilities of companies that announced their withdrawal from the Russian market was one of the first voiced by propagandist Skabeeva. It seems that it was picked up by the authorities of the terrorist country.

According to Russian media outlets that write about technology and science, 60 companies are candidates for nationalization. Channel 24 tells you more later.

What is known

  • In addition to the already mentioned McDonald’s, IKEA, Apple, Volkswagen, the list includes Microsoft, Toyota, IBM, Shell, Porsche, H&M and others.
  • This list of candidates is constantly being expanded, and law enforcement agencies, the Ministry of industry and trade, and Rospotrebnadzor are also working on it.
  • All representative offices can potentially come under the control of the state.
  • Vladimir Potanin, head of the Norilsk Nickel Mining and Metallurgical Company, considers the proposal to introduce external management at enterprises that have decided to leave Russia to be an “adequate measure”.
  • According to him, this will help business owners “preserve property, avoid the collapse of companies, and continue production.”

Recall that now more than 200 companies from all over the world have left the Russian market because of the war that the rashists started against Ukraine. A repeated and more massive invasion of the occupying forces began on February 24, 2022. The country is predicted to default and degrade the economy to the level of the nineties.
