Microsoft invests $2 billion in AI infrastructure in Spain
American software giant Microsoft will expand its artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud infrastructure in Spain by investing $2.1 billion over the next two years, Vice Chairman and President of the company Brad Smith said in a post on X, writes Reuters.
The move follows the company’s announcement of a €3.2 billion ($3.45 billion) investment in artificial intelligence in Germany, which will be focused on AI development over the next two years.
“Our investment goes beyond simply building data centers, it is a testament to our 37-year commitment to Spain, its security, and the development and digital transformation of its government, businesses, and people,” Smith commented on the source’s request.
