Microsoft will soon add its Copilot artificial intelligence to Windows 10

Microsoft has unexpectedly announced that it is bringing its AI assistant Copilot to Windows 10 after completing major updates to the OS. A Windows 10 version of Copilot for Release Preview testers will be released soon.

This is a key opportunity for us to bring the value of Copilot to more customers.

– Aaron Woodman, vice president of marketing at Windows, reports The Verge.

Although there are less than two years left until the end of Windows 10 support, Microsoft is soberly estimating the number of users. At least as of a month ago, the previous generation of the OS had almost three times as many users as the 11th, which was installed on about 400 million devices. Therefore, in order to spread the new technology on which the company is betting, it is logical not to ignore such an array of users.

Copilot in Windows 10 will work the same way as in Windows 11, with a button on the right side of the taskbar that allows you to quickly access the chatbot. However, according to Woodman, there will be some functional differences because the systems are not the same.

Microsoft believes that 4 GB of RAM and a 720p screen resolution should be sufficient for Copilot to work.
