Japanese businesses are ready to contribute to Ukraine’s reconstruction and offer a range of modern technologies that will help speed up recovery.
This was discussed during a meeting between Yulia Svyrydenko, Minister of Economy of Ukraine, and representatives of the Japanese business delegation.
It is clarified that the delegation presented technologies that will be useful in the recovery process, in particular:
- medical technologies and programs for the prognosis, prevention and treatment of PTSD and stress-related disorders;
- is a technology for safe and fast surveying of construction sites that can be used to monitor infrastructure in remote areas (e.g., dams), and it allows for the creation of accurate 3D maps in real time;
- autonomous and maintenance-free drinking water purification systems, which are currently used in evacuation centers in disaster-affected areas of different countries;
- a system for scientific support of agricultural production – collects information on the environment, weather conditions, plant growth, analyzes it with the help of AI, and provides recommendations for increasing crop yields.
It is noted that the meeting was attended by representatives of companies from the healthcare, e-commerce, communication and financial technologies, transportation and industrial goods sectors. In particular, we are talking about Rakuten, Allm, and others.
“The government has identified five priorities for rapid recovery: energy, housing, critical infrastructure, demining and economic recovery – the development of small and medium-sized businesses,” Svyrydenko said.
In addition, it is proposed to create a green industrial zone in Bucha with an area of 3,000 hectares for the production of green hydrogen. This will allow the city to produce renewable energy, heat and fuel, and will contribute to the city’s energy independence.
