More than 20 US states are demanding that Trump not be allowed to run for office

In more than 20 US states, Americans are filing lawsuits en masse to prevent former President Donald Trump from running in this year’s elections.

It is noted that lawsuits to prevent Trump from participating in the elections have been rejected in 14 states, but in another 20 states this issue is under consideration.

Journalists of the publication note that lawsuits challenging Trump’s candidacy for the presidential election were filed in 34 states.

At the same time, a significant majority of the claims filed were either challenged in court or not considered at all.

In addition to Colorado and Maine, which have banned the 45th US president from participating in primary elections, at least 20 other states have not resolved this issue.

What is known about Trump’s rival from the Republican Party

Vivek Ramaswamy, one of the Republican presidential candidates, has not publicly promised to withdraw the United States from NATO if elected president.

Politico journalists cite three sources who have personally heard Ramaswamy’s statements.

Ramaswamy is in the top four in terms of popularity among Republican supporters.

In October last year, he told the same publication that the idea of the United States leaving NATO was “reasonable,” but did not support the idea of the United States withdrawing from the Alliance.

However, the Republican candidate, who also proposed to withdraw the United States from the UN, privately believes that it is high time to withdraw the United States from NATO.

When asked about his off-the-record comments, Tricia McLaughlin, a spokeswoman for the presidential candidate’s campaign, refused to comment directly on what he would do about the Alliance, but did not deny Ramaswamy’s position.

Vivek is seriously concerned that most NATO allies are not meeting their military investment commitments and will review our own support as necessary. He also believes that NATO’s post-Cold War expansionism has unnecessarily increased the risk of a major conflict with HA,” McLaughlin said.

Ramaswamy is not the only Republican candidate who is wary of NATO.

Donald Trump, the favorite for the party’s nomination, has discussed the possibility of the US withdrawing from the Alliance during his presidency and may do so if he returns to the Oval Office.
