Moscow announces June 26 as a non-working day due to military mutiny

The mayor of the Russian capital announced road closures in Moscow and advised residents to refrain from moving around the city.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin declares June 26 a non-working day in Moscow because of the military coup. He announced this on his Telegram channel.

“In order to minimize risks, I have decided within the operational headquarters to declare Monday a non-working day – except for government agencies and continuous-cycle enterprises, the defense industry, and municipal services. Please refrain from traveling around the city as much as possible. Traffic may be blocked in certain neighborhoods and on certain roads. Please report emergencies and incidents to 112 in a timely manner. City services are on high alert,” the mayor wrote.

Meanwhile, the military convoys were spotted 125 kilometers from Moscow near Kaluga on the Kyiv highway. Armored vehicles of the Russian Ministry of Defense are already parked on the Leningradskoye highway in Moscow.

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin is looking for ways to physically eliminate the main rebel Prigozhin, and wants to promise amnesty to PMC mercenaries. The Russian Armed Forces have no serious forces to block Prigozhin’s passage to Moscow.
