Mozilla has launched a paid service to protect personal data
Mozilla has introduced a new service called Monitor Plus, designed to solve some of the problems with the privacy of Internet users’ personal data. According to the developers, it can “save” personal information from various companies that sell it. However, you will have to pay for it.
According to the description, Mozilla Monitor Plus automatically scans brokerage sites that collect and sell personal data of users. When the service detects information about a subscriber, it automatically submits a request to delete it. According to the developers, the process usually takes 7 to 14 days, although in some cases one hour is enough.
Monitor Plus subscription costs $14 per month or $108 per year (not available in all countries). However, the Firefox browser is not required to use the service. For Monitor Plus to start working, you need to register by entering your data – Mozilla representatives claim that all transmitted information will remain encrypted.
