NASA launches NASA+, a streaming service with ad-free movies about space
NASA has announced a new streaming service called NASA+, which will be available on most major platforms next week. It will be a completely free service, with no subscription fees, and you won’t have to watch ads. NASA+ will be available from November 8.
The space agency announced the release of its upcoming streaming service in the summer as it revamped its digital presence more broadly. At the time, it was said that NASA+ would be available on NASA’s iOS and Android apps, as well as on streaming players including Roku, Apple TV, and Fire TV. Users could also watch space videos and shows in the browser.
So far, there are not too many details about the content that will be presented on the service. But NASA says its family-friendly programs “include you in our missions” with live broadcasts and original video sequences.
NASA already has its own broadcasting network called NASA TV, and the new streaming service seems to be an extension of it.
