NASA postponed the launch of the SpaceX Dragon spacecraft with the crew to the ISS again

Last month, SpaceX postponed the launch of the Falcon Heavy rocket with the Jupiter-3 satellite several times. This negatively affected the schedule of the Crew-7 mission for NASA.

NASA planned to send a crew to the International Space Station on August 15. However, SpaceX announced that the launch was postponed to August 23. Earlier, it was decided to postpone the launch to August 17.

The reason for the schedule shift is that in July, SpaceX did not send a Falcon Heavy rocket into space on the first attempt. The fact is that Falcon Heavy used the same launch pad as Falcon 9 with the Dragon Endurance spacecraft. Therefore, specialists need more time to prepare.

SpaceX capsules flew to the ISS 10 times, one of which was a demonstration. Three launches were commercial, and six more times it fulfilled NASA orders to deliver crews to the station. Thus, the Crew-7 mission will be the seventh in the framework of cooperation with NASA.
