Nearly 600,000 apps have been removed from the App Store and Google Play
The companies conducted a major ‘cleaning’ of their branded online application stores.
According to Pixalate, a total of 592,000 apps were removed from the Apple Store and Google Play in the second quarter of this year. In the first quarter, 220,000 applications were removed. This time, Apple removed 439 thousand applications at once. The main reason was the lack of updates for many years.
Among remote applications, 64% have not received updates for at least two years or more. 31% of apps removed from the App Store list did not comply with the privacy policy.
