Netflix has completely blocked access for Russian – media
The Netflix platform has restricted access for Russian users, the service is opened only via VPN, write the Russian editions DTF and Rozetked.
On the night of May 27, Russian users lost access to Netflix without a VPN. Previously, Netflix was still available in Russia, but after its exit from the Russian market, you could register and pay for the service only from foreign addresses, ie using a VPN.
When visiting Netflix from Russia, the message Not Available is displayed on the screen. It is noted that a similar message is issued when trying to open Netflix from other countries, including Canada or Australia. At the same time, the Downdetector website tracking service and the Is Netflix Down page? do not report problems with the service in the rest of the world.
