New satellite images of Bakhmut are available
Over the past few weeks, the city has suffered large-scale destruction, especially on the side of the part of Bakhmut that has been seized by the occupiers.
Maxar Technologies has published fresh satellite imagery of the fortress city of Bakhmut in Donetsk Oblast, where fierce fighting is currently taking place. The photos show the destruction of bridges across the Bakhmutivka River, as well as the infrastructure of the frontline city. This was reported by The New York Times.
Satellite images show that the eastern part of the city, which Russian propaganda outlets claim has been seized by the Russian Armed Forces, has suffered the most damage.
Images from February 23, 2023 show extensive damage to industrial facilities, residential buildings, and crossings. Satellite imagery from March 6 shows large-scale destruction in the city’s southern neighborhoods.
